About Glacier HR Services, Inc.
GHRS is a small family-owned business that has been operating since 1980, first as Metamorphosis and then as GHRS. We provide services all over North America and as a wife and husband team, Bob Marsenich and Karen McMullen (retired), started out providing counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.
Bob broke off to work in organizations in the late 1980s.
They have always believed in and worked with the potential in people as individuals and when they organize into two or more people. We believe it is the human potential in the organization that gives a company its solutions to problems, its productivity, better ways of doing things, and constant improvements (you will hear us say this more than once).
It is this human potential that we find so fascinating, challenging, fun, unpredictable and unlimiting, and worth dedicating a lifetime of study and exploration.
Our services and products all relate to this Human Potential and how to work with it in a positive fashion.
From experience, we know that working with people is difficult – for whatever reason – it is one of the most difficult challenges we face – as leaders, parents, supervisors, family members, spouses, facilitators, teachers, and any other role we may function in as a Human Being.
Our products and services are designed to help you work with people and this Human Potential.
What GHRS, Inc. Offers
We bring a wide based level of experience to the coaching process—we have worked with managers in a variety of settings and can use those experiences to help your managers problem-solve in their specific setting.
Participants are often more comfortable and respond more honestly and candidly when they are working with an external consultant.
Specific needs and concerns can be addressed with an assurance of confidentiality where appropriate.
Opportunities for valuable team building within the organization can be enhanced.
Everyone hears the same thing at the same time.
The training/consulting sends a message that management is serious about the issue/topic.
The training/consulting sends a message to employees that they are “valued” because of management’s concern for their growth and development.
Costs—when you factor in the internal costs of day-to-day activities, the need for consistent follow-up, effectiveness of constructive discussions, a view of objectivity, yet a connection to internal accountability, the costs associated with external versus internal services ends up being minimal. Many times, the problems solved and the problems prevented save many times the cost of our services.
We can provide support and coaching for positive change, and, when necessary, offer additional documentation for adverse actions when individuals refuse to use organizational resources and help to correct deficiencies.
GHRS VISION & PURPOSE
By providing executive coaching, keynote presentations, digital products, training, and HR Support to companies we connect people to ideas that make the world a better place to live for all of us. We exist to help make jobs more enjoyable, satisfying, comfortable, and engaging. We want to create a world where people say, "I love my job, my co-workers, and my boss. Or at least most of them!! And that allows me to help my company be as profitable as possible and for the humans in the organization to enjoy each other as much as possible.”
We want to create work environments that are one of the most positive places humans spend their time – where they have fun and are productive.
We help leaders work with their people more effectively to increase the understanding of the purpose of their work and develop individuals to be more productive and enjoy work more.
