He is the creator of Human Potential Products.  For the last 25 years Bob has been working in organizations providing consulting and training on such topics as leadership development, coaching personal change for increased production, process improvement programs, managing change, team building, supervision skills, discrimination/harassment, and other human resource topics.  Bob also consults with companies for web-based human resources and payroll systems through partnerships with vendors of these services.

Bob was the Director of Human Resources for Plum Creek Timber Company, Inc. for 7 years where he managed employee relations, benefits and wages, recruitment and selection, performance management programs, terminations, workers’ compensation, safety and litigation.  Before going to Plum Creek, Bob worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and operated a management consulting firm.

Because of Bob’s responsibilities for managing healthcare at Plum Creek, and the numerous executive and employee training programs he developed and implemented through the years for hospitals in Montana (St. Patrick’s in Missoula, St. Pete’s in Helena, and Kalispell Regional Hospital),in June 2005 Governor Brian Schweitzer appointed and commissioned Mr. Marsenich to serve as a Board member for the Small Business Health Insurance Pool Board created by HB 667 – Small Business Healthcare Affordability Act.

In that same year Bob was appointed the Interim Executive Vice President of the Northwest Healthcare Foundation and did this until February of 2006. Throughout his career Bob has served on various community boards and organizations.

Bob was born and raised in Butte, Montana, received his degree in Social Work from the University of Montana, and lives in Missoula, Montana with his wife, Karen.  Bob and Karen raised two grown sons, Eric and Shawn and they have two grandchildren.  In his spare time, Bob enjoys fly fishing, duck hunting, and writing.

Through the years, Bob has provided organizational development and training to numerous private and public organizations, including but not limited to:

  • Leadership and Team Building to Montana Rail Link and Washington Group

  • Negotiation Skills for Timber Organization staff in the USDA – Forest Service, Oregon Department of Foresty, the Bureau of Land Management and state departments of forestry and lands in California, Washington and Idaho.

  • Through Indian Health Service, worked with tribes on all of Montana’s reservations to develop Tribal Action Plans for healthier living.

  • Provided intensive Leadership Coaching at the Troy Mine for 18 months to increase safety, profits, and productivity substantially.

  • Worked as the Director of Human Resources for Plum Creek Timber Corporation and managed all HR functions for 2,400 people in 22 states.

  • Provided ongoing and intensive coaching and HR consulting to Eacom Timber Corporation (a Canadian timber company based in Montreal) Executive Team, Mill Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors and HR and Safety Personnel.

  • Worked with Roseburg Forest Products, Sierra Pacific, Cascade Hardwoods, Eacom Timber (Canada), and other wood products companies to survey employee engagement and leadership effectiveness and then designed organizational interventions to increase safety, morale, productivity, and profit.

  • Worked with small start-up companies and health care clinics to increase teamwork, productivity and profits.

Bob Marsenich


Bob is the President of Glacier HR Services, Inc., a Montana based leadership coaching, training, and human resource consulting firm. He is the author of two books, Ready Aim Change, A Toolbook for Managing Personal Change and When Stress is Eating at You, Just Bite Back/Keep Your Head up and Out of Your Bottom.  He has also published a number of management articles in such magazines as “The Rotarian” and “Training Magazine.”
